Overview

This policy covers KeepFlame 2.0, an offline habit tracker and card collection app for iPhone. Version 2.0 has been available on the App Store since September 22, 2026.

KeepFlame does not require an account or use a developer-operated server to store your app data.

Data Stored on Your Device

We do not collect or receive your habits, completion records, to-dos, Ember balance, card collection, or app settings. These are stored and processed on your iPhone. Card draws and statistics are calculated locally.

The app does not collect your name, contact details, location, or advertising identifier. It has no cloud sync, advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking code.

Notifications and Live Activities

Reminders and Live Activities are optional. Reminder content and activity updates are generated on your device, without a remote notification server.

Set an individual habit reminder when creating or editing the habit. Configure the Daily Summary separately in Settings → Notifications; turning off the summary does not turn off individual habit reminders. You can switch Enable Live Activities on or off in Settings and choose the number of displayed items in Settings → Live Activities. The relevant iOS permissions also apply.

Notifications and Live Activities can show information about your habits on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. Use the app controls and iOS notification settings to choose what is visible.

When you choose to share a card, KeepFlame creates a card image locally and opens Apple’s system share sheet. The image contains the artwork, card name, and KeepFlame name; it does not include your habit history or Ember balance. Only the destination you select receives the shared image. That destination handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.

Opening the privacy policy or another website uses a browser and requires network access. Those websites operate separately from the app’s offline features.

Purchases

Version 2.0 has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, paid currency, or purchase restoration flow. All current app features and the included card collection are free.

Earlier versions offered optional Pro products through Apple. Apple handles any records and billing associated with those earlier purchases. We do not receive payment-card details. See Support if you have a question about an earlier purchase.

Data Retention and the 2.0 Upgrade

Your app records remain in local storage while you use the app. You can manage habits and to-dos in the app. Completed to-dos are archived and hidden from the active list after the period selected in Settings → To-do settings. Archived to-dos remain in local storage and can contribute to the app’s detection of recurring tasks. Starting a card series over clears ownership for that series while keeping draw history and statistics, as explained in the confirmation shown by the app.

Version 2.0 does not import habits or completion records from version 1.1. The update starts with new data, and old records are not available inside 2.0. Existing data created in 2.0 continues to be used normally.

KeepFlame has no account-based recovery or developer-operated backup service. Removing the app can remove its local data. We cannot restore records from a server because we do not hold a copy.

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights for website traffic and performance measurement. These website tools are not included in the KeepFlame app and do not receive its habit records or card collection.
