Privacy Policy · SugarCurfew
Effective Date

Overview
This privacy policy applies specifically to the iOS app “SugarCurfew” (the “App”). It explains how we handle information when you use the App.
SugarCurfew is built with a privacy-first approach. The current release is designed to work without accounts, advertising, analytics SDKs, tracking, or cloud sync.
Data Collection and Use
We do not collect data from this App in the App Store privacy sense: SugarCurfew does not transmit personal data to us, to our servers, or to third parties.
In particular:
- We do not collect your name, email address, or contact information.
- We do not run third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
- We do not track your usage across apps or websites.
- We do not upload your photos, OCR text, sugar logs, or food/drink records to our servers.
The App can store records locally on your device so the product can work. That local, on-device storage is described below and is not transmitted to us. This matches the App Store privacy declaration for SugarCurfew: Data Not Collected.
Camera, Photos, and OCR
SugarCurfew may ask for camera access so you can scan nutrition labels or visible food and drink items.
- Photos and OCR text are processed on your device.
- Photos and OCR text are not sent to any third-party AI service or cloud server for recognition.
- The App does not save original full-resolution photos as part of your sugar history.
- OCR evidence may be used temporarily to show and explain the result before you confirm it.
Local Records
When you confirm and save an entry, SugarCurfew stores the structured result locally on your device. This can include information such as:
- Time of the entry
- Category or item name
- Confirmed sugar amount
- Source of the estimate or manual input
- Local history signals used to make repeated items easier to review
These records stay on your device unless you choose to export or back them up yourself. SugarCurfew does not automatically sync these records to us or to a cloud service.
Manual Backups
SugarCurfew may provide a manual backup and restore feature. Backup files are controlled by you and are created only when you choose to export them.
- SugarCurfew does not sync backups automatically.
- Backup files do not include photos.
- If you save a backup to iCloud, Files, AirDrop, email, or another service, that is a user-initiated export handled by the service you choose.
No Accounts, Ads, Analytics, or Tracking
SugarCurfew does not require an account. The App does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking SDKs.
Health and Nutrition Disclaimer
SugarCurfew is a personal logging and awareness tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or professional nutrition guidance.
If you have a medical condition, dietary restriction, or health concern, please consult a qualified professional.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. Because the App does not collect personal data, there is no user data for us to sell or share.
Terms and EULA
Your use of the App is also governed by Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for apps downloaded from the App Store:
Changes to This Privacy Policy
