TalkMirror is a focused voice feedback tool for language learners, public speakers, and actors.
It acts like an acoustic mirror: what you speak is reflected back to you immediately, so you can self‑correct without buttons, exports, or file management.
Three modes
Mode 1: Mirror Loop
Speak (or read) a sentence, then pause. TalkMirror detects silence and instantly plays your audio back.
Mode 2: Call & Response (Shadowing)
Record your line, then compare it to a reference model (system TTS). Longer scripts can be broken into smaller segments so you can practice line‑by‑line.
Mode 3: Stage Pacing
Practice rhythm and breath control with pacing cues designed for speaking on stage.
Privacy-first by design
TalkMirror is built around a strict microphone and privacy rule set:
- RAM-only audio: Practice audio is processed in memory for immediate playback and is not saved as audio files by the app.
- Offline by default: No cloud sync. No accounts.
- Foreground‑only: The microphone stops when the app goes to the background or the screen locks, and it does not automatically resume.
- Metrics only: Optional reports can save simple technical metrics (duration, counts, settings), not audio content.
